Braces problem! The brackets keep falling out! What do i do?
Its been 5 weeks since i've gotten my braces. Each week, i have to return to my orthodontist because my brackets have fallen out. Each and every single week so far! I have not been eating hard foods, I eat asian cuisine (rice et al.) and such. The very first day i got my braces, their UV light screwed up (whcih was the reason for the very first time i went back) and afterwards, most of them slowly fell out. However, today two of them fell out and i don't even know why! I don't play with them, bite my nails, or anything. I think the problem might be that i brush too hard. I'm not positive, but i think my toothbrush is too hard, but it feels pretty soft to me. Anyways, what should I do? i'm going back to my orthodontist tomorrow. My parents think that its because I have a not-so-wonderful orthodontist, but i don't know. Any help?
Yes, you should look into another orthodontist. For the two years I had braces I only had to replace two brackets. One for eating corn on the cob and the other for chewing on hard candy. So after 5 weeks, multiple braces should not be falling off.
